- Terence Khan Review added: 2018.03.24★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆No problems with the lidl store (it's one of the smaller high st stores). however be warned if using the customer car park at the back of Lidl. The signage on entry directs drivers both left and right stating its for both permit holders and pay & display. I paid £1 from the attendant, got a ticket to display then did my Lidl shopping.
On return, i showed the ticket and Lidl receipt to the attendant and got my £1 refunded. Unfortunately LDK Security group invoiced me with parking charge notice of £90. I appealed which was swiftly rejected merely stating i had no valid ticket.
I then appealed to the adjudicator whom subsequently upheld the charge. The bay where i parked is apparantly for business permit holders only and the car park to the right for pay & display. However the signage does not make that explicit and I'm sure they have used this effectively to charge drivers parking and using the Lidl store. Be warned.
